Finnish Modern Design |
|
| |
| The book highlights the work of architect Alvar Aalto, one of the Finnish modern design`s foremost practitioners, including his famous Savoy Vase of 1936 and several items of furniture. Aalto and his generation were interested in the effects of industrialization, and its capability to provide better-quality and lower-costing architecture and design to a wider range of people. This catalog accompanied the Finnish Modern Design exhibition at the Bard College Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts in 1998. |
